Dave has been certified multiple times in the Teaching Family Model, and is trained as a Brainspotting practitioner.
Dave strongly believes in the importance of taking a systemic approach to treatment, and utilizes a number of approaches to help individuals and families recognize the challenging patterns that have emerged in their lives and relationships. With the knowledge that authentic relationships and connection are vital in the therapeutic process, Dave is able to effectively connect with his clients to allow them to feel safe, experience a high level of trust, and discover the ability to be open and honest with the challenges they are facing. Dave utilizes a variety of approaches that open opportunities for clients to challenge their negative core beliefs, to learn to connect more authentically with themselves and with those around them, and to find peace and healing from their traumatic experiences. Dave also is an expert at navigating complex family systems and traumas, helping couples and families gain a deeper understanding of each other’s personalities, develop empathy for one another’s experiences, and rediscover the love and authenticity that drives their healthy connection.
In his spare time, Dave enjoys playing golf, following his beloved Utah Jazz, Real Salt Lake, Cleveland Indians, and Dallas Cowboys, reading, playing board games, watching movies, being outside, traveling to and exploring new places, and most importantly, spending quality time with his wife, three daughters, and three dogs.
