Lead Therapist at Evoke Therapy Intensives

Nick is a licensed professional counselor with advanced training in attachment-based psychotherapy, and an extensive background working with clinically complex family systems. Growing up in a family of clinicians and health care providers, Nick has always been passionate about helping others find clarity in their relationships with themselves, families, and the world around them. His talents reside in his ability to help clients feel understood and to safely express their emotional needs and boundaries.

Education & Prior Work Experience

Nick holds a master's degree in Professional Counseling and Depth Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute. He is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oregon and has completed specialized training in family systems, attachment trauma, Brainspotting--a somatic based trauma therapy--psychoanalysis, and SocialThinking, which focuses on psychoeducation and training regarding Autism spectrum disorders and learning differences. Initially reluctant to endeavor into the family business of mental and physical health, Nick worked for several years as a marketing and advertising consultant in New York. After realizing his passion for the work stemmed from team building and group facilitation, Nick ventured into a new career, starting as a wilderness therapy instructor in Utah for three years. These experiences solidified Nick’s passion for helping others with a variety of experiential therapies, and have been integral to his professional development as a clinician in therapeutic programs and private practice.

Since beginning his career as a clinician, Nick has served in a variety of roles in residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization, community mental health, and a young adult transition program. In these settings Nick has supported program development, clinical training, group facilitation, and provided individual, family, and couples therapy.

Nick brings personal experience and professional acumen as a group facilitator and attachment-based clinician. He prioritizes empathy and attunement and strives to understand what it is like to be each individual he serves. Nick is playful in nature and excels in his ability to balance humor with authentic connection.

Nick is an avid outdoorsman, a musician, writer, and extrovert, and enjoys connecting with others through story, song, humor, and food.
