Marin Britten

Clinical Assistant at Evoke Therapy Intensives

Marin’s passion for mental health is inspired by her own journey of personal growth and transformation. Marin believes that each of us has the capability and capacity to find their unique truth and to live a life full of wisdom, joy and authenticity.

Education & Work Experience

Marin is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Therapy at Adams State University in Colorado. Originally hailing from the UK, Marin also has a bachelor's degree in European Law and a master's degree in Sociology. Following her interest in the healing practices, Marin became a Clinical Assistant for Evoke Intensives where she has been able to joyfully merge passion and profession.

Strengths

Marin comes from a circus background and was a professional acrobat with Cirque du Soleil for over a decade. During her career, Marin became attuned to the importance of the mind/body connection and the ways in which trauma can be stored physically. She has practiced mindfulness meditation for many years and believes in the healing power of the breath and the non-judgmental observation of physical sensation.

Marin strives to make deep connections with people and to draw upon the power of empathy and compassion to truly understand another.

Interests

In her spare time, Marin enjoys hanging out with her infant daughter and husband and re-discovering the world through her little girl's eyes. She still loves to hang upside down and fly around occasionally, but more often she can be found hiking or weight lifting, meditating or doing yoga in the sunshine.
