Lead Therapist at Evoke Therapy Intensives

Stephanie’s passion for mental and behavioral health is inspired by her experience working with children, parents, and teachers in an education setting. Her personal experience parenting nine children, coupled with her desire to support families in navigating the parent-child relationship make her relatable both practically and professionally.

Education & Prior Work Experience

Stephanie holds a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. She has extensive experience working with families in both the education setting and in outpatient therapy. In addition to her individual work with clients, Stephanie has a passion for facilitating therapeutic groups and utilizes a relational approach to foster trust and emotional safety within the therapeutic process.

Strengths

Stephanie utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused therapies to help her clients discover deeper meaning in their lives and increase resiliency. She is a strong believer in the healing power of nature and is inspired by the innate ability in each person to transform their lives.

Interests

When she’s not working, Stephanie likes to hike or mountain bike with her husband, and anyone else who will come along. She loves movies, books, and her family. In addition to their nine children, she and her husband have more than a dozen grandchildren.
