Meagan oversees the health and medical well-being of the participants, visits the field regularly, and provides on-call support to the field staff by phone, troubleshooting issues in real time. With the collaboration of and under supervision of the medical director, Dr. Scott Barton, Meagan implements and carries out treatment plans and evacuations, should an injury or medical issue arise in the field. She also provides regular medical instruction to staff and coordinates medication adjustments as directed by Dr. Barton or Dr. Brown.

Meagan has been a registered nurse for 14 years, with much of this time spent in psychiatric/behavioral health. She also worked many years in the ER/ICU/PACU dealing with critical care. Last October, she became a board certified psychiatric registered nurse, and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program to obtain her nurse practitioner.

Meagan has been in Saint George for 17 years, and raised all of her children there. She is an animal lover and has a house full of pets at any given time. Her free time is spent with family, outdoors, and enjoying her grandbabies.
