Education & Prior Work Experience
Kelly is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), clinical supervisor, and Life Coach. In 1993, she received her BA in English with a 7-12 grade teaching certification. While teaching at a therapeutic boarding school, she stumbled upon the transformational power of therapy. In 2008, she received her MA in Counselling Psychology, followed by her clinical license in marriage and family therapy. Most recently, Kelly has received a clinical certification in HeartMath training with a strong focus on helping individuals practice emotional regulation using the mind-body connection. Kelly believes that knowledge is power. In her previous role as the Personal Growth Director of a therapeutic school, she developed and implemented a school-wide Psychology and Emotional Intelligence curriculum. She has a long history of facilitating parenting seminars and leadership training. Kelly has extensive background utilizing experiential models as a transformative pathway for addressing core therapeutic issues such as repairing attachment wounds and healing from trauma. As such, she currently facilitates nature-based retreats for individual and collective healing.
Strengths
Kelly is relatable. Though an “expert in her field," her strengths come from her commitment to doing her own work. As a result, she knows the importance of “soul work,” and can support that process from both a professional and personal lens. Many of Kelly’s strengths reside in her ability to help others connect to their own inherent wisdom, and more fully embody the intelligent, healing energy within us. Her “realness”, and knowledge of what is possible while helping others feel safe in order to “drop in” to do their necessary work.
Interests
Kelly currently lives in the Pacific Northwest and loves to be in nature: hiking peaks, trail running, sailing, etc. She loves to garden and share healthy food, and to spend time with family and friends.
